A HUGE Thank You has to go to Bentley for letting me shoot his new GTI. I’ve been waiting for so long to get pictures of this and bugged him endlessly but I’m so pleased with the results.

We had an awesome shoot down by the Brayford in Lincoln and managed to use mostly natural light, we used the speedlight at the end just as the sun was disappearing.

Also thanks to Kris for getting this behind the scenes shot of me shooting a tree and definitely not the awesome car behind it…

This beauty here is the BÖIKZMÖIND ‘Boik’, lovingly put together by the excellent Freshtripe! This project has been ongoing for a long time and has had it’s fair share of trials & tribulations but it was finally finished last weekend and was proudly displayed for the first time at the Bristol Bespoked bike show at the Freshtripe stand!

My favourite part is the white-on-white graphics which have been applied to the frame of the bike, it’s only under closer inspection in the right light that the frame reveals statistics from the films creation!

You can see it in the flesh at the BÖIKZMÖIND Screening + DVD/Book launch + Q&A which is happening this coming Easter Monday, 3pm at The Watershed cinema here in Bristol! There’s not many tickets left, so grab yours here and you can also pre-order your DVD/Book to pick-up from the launch too!

Via JFSIII, Chrome’s Developer Tools has some useful options hidden in its settings panel. All this time, it has been hiding as that little cog icon in the bottom right.

Personal favorites include Disable cache, Text Editor indent, Dock to right which is ideal for mobile-sized media-query development.

This is totally nerdy, retro and I think awesome; all at the same time.

I re-created the ringtone from the phones that go off in Final Fantasy Advent Children. This is the classic Final Fantasy VII “battle success” theme but put through a high pass filter to create the sound from FFAC.

Jobs don’t get much better than this… I had to design a fortune-teller-style Facebook app for our feature film The Pirates! In an Adventure With Scientists (Out in the UK on Wednesday 28th!) featuring none-other than The Pirate King, BRIAN BLESSED!

The app is now live, just think of a question to ask the wise old Pirate King and Brian, sorry, the King, will bestow and bellow at you with a nugget of wisdom! Go and have a play of it right here on Facebook!

The whole thing was built in HTML5, courtesy of our web genius Ben Reid (my favourite part is the mouth movements that dynamically match the pitch & volume of the sound effect, clever boy!!)

A few weeks ago, Jamie (twitter.com/#!/jazzybam) and Dave (twitter.com/#!/daviddarnes) came to visit me in Bristol. Jamie let me borrows his fish eye, so I popped it on my camera and started taking a few shots. I’m not quite sure why but I then persisted to take shots as we walked through town, 982 shots later this is the result. I wish I’d had my spare memory card to keep it going.

It comprises of 982 photos, knit bombing, one prop up feris wheel, steak, bicycles, countless amounts of chewing gum, one can stuck to my foot, a small puddle, one David Darnes, one Jamie Gregson and myself.

Here at Aardman, where i work by day, we’re gearing up for the release of our latest stop-motion feature film ‘The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists!’ (or Band of Misfits over in the US). It’s been in production for over 5 years now but the end is in sight, because it’s released on the 28th March here in the UK and the 27th April stateside!

Anyways, check out the above video which will show you the behind the scenes and explain exactly why it’s taken 5 long years to make! It’s a thing of beauty I tell you, I can’t wait for everyone to see it!
